METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
CHALCEDONY
As
has been noted, chalcedony is an important member of the silica
family and is an ally of agate. A specific variety of chalcedony
produces the eye pleasing gem "fire agate" ... such
containing flashes of brilliant "fire" somewhat
similar to the fire found within precious opal. Chalcedony of
all varieties was believed to be specific to ailments of the
eye. This very hard gemstone is also able to dissipate evil
humors of the eye.
AGATE
This
catholic member of the silicate grouping guards against all
dangers. Agate will also assist in the overcoming of all
terrestrial dangers. It has not been written (but is now) but
logic proclaims the various colors and patterns within agate can
be fine tuned to be specific to certain dangers. Agate also
emboldens the heart... such causing success in about every
endeavor including the collection of riches. Finally, this hard
working gem cures insomnia and insures pleasant dreams
