METAPHYSICAL PROPERTIES
TIGER'S EYE & TIGER IRON
Silica at times replaces organic and non-organic material... petrified wood and dinosaur bone being examples of the former... Tiger's Eye and Tiger Iron examples of the latter. Tiger's Eye is a silica replacement of blue and gold fibers of asbestos. In the hands of a skilled lapidary this material can be turned to a gem of outstanding beauty. The material accepts a high polish be turned to a gem of outstanding beauty. The material accepts a high polish and retains a band of chatoyant light. Blue and gold fibers intermixed are particularly handsome. Tiger iron is somewhat similar. In this instance golden asbestos is silicified and intermixed with red jasper and gray hematite.
