JASPER
Jasper,
as about no one knows, is an associate of agate ... both being a form of
chalcedony and all members of the silicate genre. Jasper, some pondered,
would bring rain ... not a good thing if one lived in the rain forests
of the California, Oregon and Washington coast... but beneficial to
folks who hung out within Arizona and all such. Jasper also owned the
power to recognize and hate evil spirits and guard against the bite of a
venomous snake. If the Jasper happened to be on a coffee break and
a venomous snake recognized opportunity and threw a lip-lock upon a leg
... the jasper would minimize the ill effects. Recognizing the plethora
of color and pattern present within jaspers, the ancients believed
various to become specific to certain ills.
